This place is open until midnight most days (open until 9 pm on Sundays and closed on Mondays) so we stopped by for a late dinner mid-week after a night at a show. ![]() Please look at what your serving and bring your profit margins to a more reasonable percentage you don't need to rip people off to make money Our bill was over $50.00 and I have to say just because your in San Francisco does not give you the right to rip people off this is another example of restaurants over charging because they think everyone in San Francisco is either in tech has a start up or is rich. ![]() We then ordered shrimp and grits $13.00 the size of this dish was like an appetizer but they had it listed under "BIG dishes" have been to other more fine dinning and had this dish paid the same but was a large portion enough to fill you up. We ordered the fish tacos $13.00 for 3 tiny tiny tiny fish tacos they were served 1 very same piece of fried fish on a very small street taco size tortilla (being in the restaurant business I know the total cost of these are around 3.00 for all three) I can get bigger tacos at a taqueria for less. We ordered two basil gimlets I took three sips and the drink was gone the drink was full of ice in a rocks glass not served up as it should be my partner had the same and not very dissatisfied. We arrived at 6:50 pm the host said the restaurant was fully reserved but we could sit at the communal table which he said is also reserved ? Strange that we sat for over 45 min and only two groups came in to be sat at that time. Having this day be Valentine's Day we did not expect to be able to get into a place that was more of a full dining experience, but what we did not expect was Pa'ina to be full with reservations. ![]() We decided to try Pa'ina as we were catching a movie at kabuki, the menu looked interesting and the atmosphere well it was casual bar setting.
